Failed Device - Avoid at ALL COSTS!!

We bought this microwave less than a year ago, and yet it fell apart on us. The machine starts up, but it makes a worse and much louder sound than it did originally, within a second or two of start up, a burnt rubber smell wafts from the device, and even if that did not happen, it no longer heats up any food. I have never seen a product fail so quickly when it comes to what is considered a major appliance. We bought ours from a third party vendor, and purchased an extended warranty with it, just in case. Thankfully, the company we purchased it from has sent us a check for the full amount we paid. I hate that we had to go through this, but hopefully no one else will.

Doesn't last long...

We bought this microwave in October 2017 and it has lasted about a year and a half. We only use microwave safe dishes and even covers to keep the inside clean. The warranty is only 1 year and Frigidaire offered to send a repair person out and the cost is $99 just for that person to drive here. The digital screen is also not very bright. I would not recommend this product.

I have been using this microwave for about 2 months now. It does everything I ask of it. I have two problems however. For one you have to enter the time and then push start. On my old microwave I could enter up to 6 minutes and it would start automatically. However, this is a feature I can manage. My next problem is my height. We installed the unit over our built in oven and I cannot see the readout display until I move a certain distance to the side. This would probably not be a problem for most people, but is something to be aware of when installing it. Otherwise, I have always been confident with all my frigidaire appliances, and this one is no exception. I love the sensor reheat and popcorn settings
