Replaced a Samsung that had poor temperature control on the range. This Bosch range controls very well. It's nice to cook on a range that is so predictable. We also have a Bosch Dishwasher and it cleans superbly.

This unit feels heavy and sturdy. The metal knobs are such a pleasure to use compared to my old plastic ones. The black stainless steel finish is amazing! No fingerprints and it just feels like a nice heavy metal that doesn't easily scratch. Great difference from the basic stainless that is hard to maintain. There are many great features that I am still exploring. The oven heats up quickly and the burners on top boil faster way faster than my old unit. The warming drawer is a great bonus and will be used regularly. Installation took a little patience and time to get it at the exact right level but it blends in with my countertop and looks great! You definitely get what you pay for with Bosch. This is 1 of 4 appliances I plan to switch out to Bosch.

Cooktop needs some work

The oven itself is great. Comes up to temperature quickly and stays consistent. Nice and easy to clean. The way the control panel is mounted leaves all sorts of opportunities fir food to get stuck in hard to clean places. The control knobs are super difficult to remove for cleaning. So much so it feels like I am going to rip the entire assembly out of the range. The biggest issue is the cooktop. Mostly impossible to keep clean, even after explicitly cleaning after each use. There are some sort of ridges on the glass cooktop that really impact this. The heat is terribly inconsistent. Each burner has two temperature ranges, low and high. The problem is they work independently of each other. If you are on the high range, and find the heat too great, you'll obviously turn it down. If you turn it down to the highest setting on the low range, it will continue to further heat up the cooktop, since it thinks you are starting over and turning it on for the first time. Really strange operation choice by Bosch.

We are very satisfied with our purchase. Everything works perfectly as I would expect on a higher end range. And it is very attractive matching perfectly with our black stainless refrigerator. The glass top requires maintenance to keep it clean after cooking but it is worth it.

Bosch slide-in electric stove

In 2011, I bought a full kitchen suite of appliances - I wanted Bosch, but their electric slide-in was very utilitarian and paled in comparison to the stunning Jenn-Air stove that had much higher-quality features, knobs and finishes... so I bought the Jenn-Air. However, 11 years later, Bosch has addressed the issues - they have improved the styling and the stove knobs are now cast-metal, as they should be (they were flimsy plastic in 2011). I was very pleased and included this stove in my full Bosch suite - my only complaint is that the stove has very little adjustment-range in height. Please see photo - I was surprised the stove sits far to high above my counter-tops, and I cannot lower the range any further... If I could lower it just an inch, it would be perfect... However, it is the fault of the builder, who didn't do the counters at the standard height, so I can't hold that against Bosch. (There are only a few stoves made to sit a little lower, and they are not of this quality.) I splurged and got the convection version - so it has the capability. Great stove.
