Love this new range. The versatility is great. This stand alone range is so much more convienant than the slide-in it replaces. The burners are closer to us, making it so much easier to use.

We have had this about a month and like everything about it except that the display is in a bright yellow color instead of the soothing green we had before and have on other appliances. Just a nit that does not detract from overall approval.

Maytag's award winning style is right out of the late 1920's or early 1930's. Nothing new here, folks. The oven is vented on the front of the oven door, so it dumps lots of heat right in your face as you try to cook on the top of the stove. However, the oven is insulated quite well . The cooktops is 30 inches wide which is adequate, but the depth of the cooking surface (front to back) is too short, so pots and pans often end up touching each other even though they are on separate burners. The glass top surface is solid black in color shows every finger-mark, drip and spill, and is hard to keep clean. The control knobs are confusing to use. Some turn on clockwise ( Low to High) while one turns on counter-clockwise (Hi to Lo). The positive features of the stove: 1) It seems reliable, gives even heat quickly, and (2) Maytag has a warrentee that is hard to beat !

I bought the stove a month ago. I usually buy GE but when I found out they are now owned by the Chinese and the quality had gone down I decided to try a Maytag since I had a Maytag dishwasher I was happy with. I really like that the heating coil at the bottom is covered because it make it MUCH easier to clean. The cooktop is easy to clean in spite of what people say. You just have to know how to clean a cooktop. The oven is large so you can put a lot in. There is a timer that counts down the pre-heat time so you know when the oven will be ready. I would have given it 5 stars but the drawer at the bottom isn't deep enough, you can't put much in it. I am very happy with this Maytag stove.
