My friends and family really enjoy the ice this machine makes and that it is always fresh and good tasting. They love the small edible squares of ice.

Our house was under construction last year so this (and other appliances) were purchased months before we were able to move in. We moved in mid-July 2018 and here we are 10 months later and this ice maker has quit making ice and water constantly drains from the water pan. Warranty is 1-yr from date of purchase. Also, the noises that came from this unit (when it worked) were enough to keep you up at night. It had very loud snaps and banging sounds. $1500 down the drain so to speak.

4 stars for ice maker, 1 star for incomplete/poor sales & marketing brochures explaining issues better explaining installs issues listed below Resulting just in 2 stars. Purchased this sight unseen as no local stores had one in stock based on sales brochures. Ice Maker was installed as part of major kitchen remodel. Not until it was installed and used did we discover that ice maker does not have refrigeration/freezer capability for the ice compartment, not listed in brochure features. Also does not state on brochures that ice maker, unlike a refrigerator ice maker, continually drains water and MUST BE TIED into house drain. Both contractor and I assumed drain was only needed during cleaning process or would have considered trenching foundation for drain or not purchasing this unit. All of these issues I listed should have been prominently display on sales and marketing brochures.

The biggest problem with this model of ice maker is the water valve, which can improve the quality of this part and make it perfect. I used two ice makers, and the first one was a computer version that didn't work. The second one always has a problem with the water valve. It will be broken after 7 months, and there is only a 3-month warranty in Canada. I did it once, and now I do it three times.
