This 18 cu. ft. freezer was purchased to give us more room. It runs quietly, and our favorite feature is the green light, which lets you know that the door is tightly closed and everything is OK.

We purchased the 18 Cu. Ft. upright. Love the freezer. Lots of room. Door is reversable for opening. Has an alarm that sounds if the door is left open. Great freezer.

Poor performance.

This Frigidaire upright freezer was delivered on Sept. 19. The service tech was out here to check the unit on Sept. 23, because the alarm was beeping, and the interior light was erratic in either coming on or staying off. For over 6 hours I had to endure listening to the beeping. I unplugged the freezer for 30 seconds and when I plugged it back in the beeping stopped, and the light was on. At 6:AM the beeping had stopped and the light was on. Then it went off again. When the tech arrived, I explained the whole situation to him. He disconnected the beeper and also seemed to have broken the light. He said he would order parts and let us know when they come in. Then, when closing the door, I hear noises from someplace in the freezer. I have told the place where I bought this that even though the beeping and light could be fixed, I would not stand for the noise of the freezer door. No one, NO ONE should have to put up with all the beeping and interior sounds from a new appliance. Either fix it so everything works right or get me a new freezer!!!!!

We bought this freezer for our basement to store additional items that wouldn’t fit in our main freezer. It holds plenty of items and keeps everything freezing cold. We also appreciate the green light on the bottom to let us know if it’s working properly or if there is an issue.
