This 72-inch refrigerator is three inches taller than a standard counter-depth refrigerator. It fills the gap that can be left above many refrigerators, adding to its integrated appeal. A pull-out freezer drawer allows you to organize frozen items on three levels. Horrid EMI noise when compressor kicked on

I bought this model KRFC302ESS a month ago. The compressor’s noise and EMI background noise gave me headache. Poor electrical design assembly. I have requested a service for a possible defective compressor since day 1. Whirlpool finally sent a subcontractor tech from Appliances Paradise to my home just to tell me it’s normal! That’s is an insult! So don’t buy if you have family history of Alzheimer’s in family, this low frequency humming noise is not good! I’m moving it to my garage & eventually find a better brand for its replacement. A waste of $3000 purchase.

I bought this fridge with counter depth to match our cabinet width. It makes our kitchen very streamlined. There was a slight pin point pop out in the upper right corner. Looks likes it could only happen at the manufacturing stage. Thought we wouldn't notice it after being in use for a month but that's not the case. I do love the fridge space and the water inside with ice maker. The water tastes amazing. The other feature which is very handy is that it beeps if the door is left open. Awesome. Final comment. couldn't find the energy star rating. If it has one, please let me know as I may be eligible for rebates.

I really like the refrigerator except that the left French door does not close properly. It has to be lifted slightly to make it close

Only complaint is the shelves don't reach far enough to the back wall to keep smaller items from falling down. Quiet and easy to move shelves where you need them.

We love our new KitchenAid counter depth refrigerator. This was the final piece in our kitchen remodel and it looks and functions spectacularly. one improvement that we would recommend, if it is possible, would be less of a gap at the back of the shelves.
